Iran Announces Delegation for Possible Talks With US

Iran has officially announced the formation of its delegation for potential negotiations with the United States, signalling a fresh diplomatic effort between the two long-time rivals. According to international media reports, the Iranian delegation will be headed by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who currently serves as the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament. Meanwhile, Esmail Baghaei has been appointed as the official spokesperson for the negotiating team.

Iranian officials stated that the country is approaching the possible talks with seriousness and positive intentions. Speaking to the media, Esmail Baghaei emphasised that Iran remains committed to diplomacy and constructive engagement. He also clarified that all official updates and sensitive information regarding the negotiations would only be released through authorised government channels to avoid misinformation and speculation.

According to Iranian authorities, several major regional and economic issues are expected to be discussed if negotiations move forward. One of the key topics includes efforts to reduce growing tensions in the Middle East, which have increased significantly in recent months. Iran also hopes to discuss the return of frozen Iranian assets held abroad, an issue that has remained a major concern for Tehran for years due to international sanctions and financial restrictions.

Another important matter expected to be raised during the talks is the protection of Iranian ships and maritime trade routes. Iranian officials believe ensuring security in international waters is essential for regional stability and economic activity.

Reports suggest that recent diplomatic messages exchanged between Washington and Tehran have helped improve communication between the two sides. Sources indicate that progress has been made on certain issues and differences have narrowed to some extent. However, despite these developments, analysts say rebuilding full trust between Iran and the United States remains one of the biggest challenges.

Relations between the two countries have been strained for decades due to political disputes, sanctions, and regional conflicts. Nevertheless, the announcement of a formal negotiating delegation is being viewed as a potentially important step toward renewed diplomatic engagement and possible future agreements between the two nations.
