Lahore (NY Today) For the first time in history, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz personally participated in the AI training session of the provincial ministers and led. In the training program, it has been decided to establish a Google Tech Valley Digital Transformation Advisory Board in Punjab.
In the training program, the official workshop “Empowering Punjab with AI” was officially started with the presence of the minister. In the training session, the Punjab cabinet members were given a detailed briefing on the useful use of Gemini. The use of AI in shaping governance and policy framework was informed on this occasion.
AI support in operational policy making, sectoral reforms and other issues were discussed in the training program. Policy summary analysis, summary and Google tools were discussed in the training program.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that digital technology can change the way of thinking and working. AI support in reforms and policy making is indispensable. Responsible use of AI tools can bring about positive changes.
The experts of Google for Education said in the briefing that the master training of 3 thousand teachers will be started on the platform of Tech Valley Google for Education in Punjab. More than 3 lakh student ID will be established in the School Education Department in Punjab. 2 lakh students and 2 thousand teachers of Punjab Education Foundation will also be trained. 1000 scholarships will be given to 10 organizations for the promotion of digital journalism.
The Google team expressed their views and said that they have not seen a city like Lahore which is a combination of history and culture. Kudos to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for declaring 2026 as the year of youth.
