Chinese experts have developed a rifle-carrying drone
Beijing (NY Today) – Experts from Wuhan Guide Infrared, a leading Chinese technology company, and the Army Special Operations Academy, an institution of the Chinese military, have jointly developed a unique and modern rifle-carrying drone. It is capable of flying in the air with a rifle and hitting targets 100 to 150 meters away.
According to foreign media reports, this drone can be equipped with the same standard rifle that is currently being used by the Chinese forces. The purpose of this modern drone is to target enemy soldiers deployed in dangerous, complex and difficult areas so that operations can be made possible without directly endangering the lives of Chinese soldiers.
According to research published in the December issue of the Journal of Gun Launch and Control, in the experimental phase, the drone, flying at an altitude of 10 meters above the ground, fired 20 single shots from a standard rifle at a target of human height 100 meters away, all of which hit the target, thus achieving a 100 percent hit rate. Furthermore, 10 out of 20 shots hit within a radius of just 11 centimeters, which demonstrates the extraordinary accuracy of this system.
