Beijing (nytoday) – China and Pakistan have signed a series of new agreements involving investments worth billions of dollars, marking a significant step forward in bilateral economic cooperation. According to official sources, China is expected to invest nearly $10 billion in Pakistan in the near future.

Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh shared these details during an interview with a private television channel. He stated that global attention is increasingly turning towards Pakistan, with strong expectations for wide-ranging foreign investment in the coming years. He also confirmed that Pakistan and China have already signed new joint venture agreements valued at $1.5 billion.

In addition, China has entered into new Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth approximately $9 billion, covering key sectors such as agriculture, automotive manufacturing, and mining. This connection will be established through a dedicated railway line and a newly constructed highway, significantly improving transportation and logistics. He added that around $7 million will be secured from international financial institutions to support the economic corridor between Chagai and Karachi.

The minister also noted that following the success of Banyan Al-Marsoos, global demand for Pakistan’s fighter jets has risen sharply, with multiple countries placing production orders.
