Faisalabad (nytoday): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the resumption of direct flight operations from Lahore to London, marking a major development after a six-year suspension. The airline confirmed that the first flight of this route, PK-757, will depart from Lahore for London on March 30.
According to PIA, all Lahore–London flights will arrive at Terminal 4 of Heathrow Airport. London remains one of the key international destinations in PIA’s route network, and the revival of this service is expected to benefit travellers significantly.
With the addition of the Lahore–London route, the total number of PIA flights to the United Kingdom will increase to seven per week. Prior to the ban, PIA was operating up to ten weekly flights between Pakistan and London.
A PIA spokesperson stated that flight operations to London will be expanded gradually. The airline has already announced three weekly flights from Islamabad to London, with services on this route scheduled to begin on March 29.
