(Faisalabad NYT) NCCIA warns of WhatsApp hacking: The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued a warning to WhatsApp hacking and suggested immediate steps to avoid any unforeseen situations.
The NCCIA has told WhatsApp users to take immediate steps to re-register if you lose access to your account or suspect that someone else is using it.
The NCCIA, while informing about immediate steps in case of hacking, said that uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp, enter your phone number to log in, on which you will receive a 6-digit code via SMS, enter it immediately.
It was further state that as soon as you enter the code, your WhatsApp will be immediately logg out from the hacker’s mobile because WhatsApp can only be active on one mobile at a time. NCCA, while giving tips to protect against hackers, said that do not be afraid of waiting 7 days because if the hacker has turned on “Two-Step Verification” and you do not know the PIN, WhatsApp may ask you to wait 7 days.
The NCCIA said, “Don’t worry! By the time you’ve entered the SMS code, the hacker has logged out. No one can use your account or read your messages during this wait.”
