Quetta (nytoday): Chief Executive Officer of the Balochistan Health Card Program, Dr Samiullah Kakar, has announced that all outstanding payments owed to the State Life Insurance Corporation have been cleared by the Balochistan government. He said this step reflects the clear, public-friendly vision of the Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Provincial Minister for Health.
Following this major development, formal directives have been issued to all government and private hospitals empanelled under the Balochistan Health Card Program across the province. These hospitals have been instructed to provide complete, timely, and high-quality medical treatment to eligible health card holders without any delay, obstruction, or discrimination.
Dr Kakar stated that the Balochistan Health Card Program is a practical reflection of the leadership’s commitment to public welfare. Its primary objective is to ease the financial burden of costly medical treatment for ordinary citizens, particularly the poor and deserving segments of society. He added that the provincial government is moving forward with health sector reforms and welfare initiatives with transparency, responsibility, and dedication.
He further clarified that if patients or their families face any difficulty, delay, or complaint during treatment at any empanelled hospital, they should immediately contact the Balochistan Health Card Program. The programme’s designated contact number is clearly displayed at the Health Card counter established in every empanelled hospital, ensuring prompt guidance and swift resolution of complaints.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Dr Samiullah Kakar emphasised that the Balochistan Health Card Program stands firmly with the public, especially the needy and deserving. He assured that every effort is being made to ensure no eligible citizen is deprived of medical treatment, in line with the vision of the Chief Minister and the Provincial Health Minister.
