Alleged Cocaine Kingpin Anmol Pinky Appears in Court Without Handcuffs

Anmol alias Pinky, accused by police of running one of Pakistan’s largest cocaine networks, appeared before a city court without handcuffs, sparking questions over security arrangements and police handling of high-profile suspects.

According to sources, Pinky was arrested earlier in the day and reportedly claimed during detention that she would soon be released. She was later presented before the court by the police investigation department under what witnesses described as a VIP-style protocol.

During the court appearance, Pinky was seen walking confidently ahead while investigating officers followed behind her. Observers noted that there was no visible police security in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs), despite the seriousness of the allegations against her.

Witnesses also claimed that Pinky used her mobile phone inside the court premises to speak with her lawyer and was seen casually talking and joking with people present during the hearing.

Police had requested a 14-day physical remand to continue their investigation, but the court did not approve the request. Instead, the court granted initial custody of the accused. Authorities have so far registered two separate cases against Anmol Pinky.

Investigators allege that Pinky was involved in the sale and distribution of cocaine worth billions of rupees across Pakistan. Police officials have described her as not only a major drug dealer but also allegedly linked to the manufacturing side of the illegal narcotics trade.

However, the court appearance has triggered criticism due to the apparent lack of strict security measures. Many have questioned why a suspect facing such serious allegations was allowed to appear without handcuffs and with minimal visible police control.

Sources further stated that Pinky remained calm and confident throughout her detention, repeatedly suggesting that she expected to secure her release soon. The incident has intensified debate over the professionalism and seriousness of law enforcement agencies when handling sensitive criminal cases.
